The Newcastle Community Tourism Organisation (Newcastle CTO) represents all tourism related businesses in the Greater Newcastle area. Newcastle is located in Northern KwaZulu-Natal and forms part of the KZN battlefields route. It is located within the Amajuba District Municipality and is bordered to the south by Dannhauser Local Municipality and to the east by Emadlangeni Local Municipality. The Free State forms the western border and Mpumalanga, the northern border.
